Hello everyone!

I am the Sweet Concepts baker! My name is Alla. I am a mother to two sweet, beautiful little girls Liana and Ellie. Outside of my regular 9-5 job and my wifey/mommy duties, I’m a self-taught/ family-taught/ taste buds-taught home baker. Baking is my therapy and I love it! Baking with my daughters is a dream coming true!

Growing up in a Ukrainian family, food and family was always the center of our life and still is. Being the sweet tooth of my family, I was always fascinated with the art of baking and I would bake occasionally. For the past few years, I watched hours upon hours of Food Network Baking shows, dreaming of all the recipes I would one day bake. I dived into baking more while I was pregnant with my first daughter Liana, I believe she inspired me to take baking more seriously. When I started, I didn’t have formal training, but I made bucket lists of recipes to try and joined baking groups to broaden my horizons. I now devour cookbooks, blogs and look up YouTube videos whenever there is a technique I don’t understand. I learn a lot by trial and error; when things don’t work out, I figure out why and try again until I get it right.

I always just baked for family and friends. Their positive feedback along with both of my daughter’s encouragement, inspired me to share my love of baking with everyone and gave me the confidence I needed to pursue my dream as a baker.
Nowadays I bake delicious cakes, cupcakes, cookies and various sweets with quality ingredients and love.
I still have a LOT to learn but I love what I do and I want to share my passion for baking with all of you.
